～なければなりません expresses obligation or a necessary rule; ～たほうがいいです gives considerate advice.

A：熱があります。
B：今日は休んだほうがいいですよ。学校を休むなら、先生に連絡しなければなりません。

Build: You should not overdo it. Then adapt it with your own information and say it aloud.

Meaning: Distinguish necessary action from considerate advice.

Build it: negative stem + なければなりません; past plain + ほうがいい

When to use it: Use strong obligation only when the situation genuinely requires it.
